AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING NEW TRASH RATES FOR THE CITY OF FOWLER, KANSAS, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 368 AND ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF FOWLER, KANSAS;
SECTION 1. Section 15-523, of Article 5 of the Utilities Section, of the Code of the City of Fowler, is hereby amended to read as follows:
RATES FOR COLLECTION OF GARBAGE, RUBBISH, TRASH AND REFUSE. The following rates are established as those to be paid to the city clerk of the city for collection and handling of garbage, rubbish, trash and refuse.
- For each single family residence, a base rate of $22.55 per month for two prescribed containers or less. There will be an additional charge of $5.00 per month for each additional container. The number of pick-ups per week will multiply this base rate if the pick-ups exceed one.
- For multi-family residential dwellings, a base rate of $22.55 per month for one separate living unit have a water meter separately and having two or less prescribed containers per living unit. There will be an additional charge of $5.00 per month for each additional container. The number of pick-ups per week will multiply this base rate if the pick-ups exceed one.
- Monthly commercial rates for customers shall be $29.00 per month per Dumpster multiplied by the number of pick-ups per week.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication by summary once in the official city newspaper.
